Step by step, from album to album, NARZISS got deeper to the core of talented and open minded songwriting. Out of the underground, the latest album “Solang das Herz schlägt” pushed the envelope and conquered the established German club & DJ charts for the full 12 possible weeks and even entered the new Hellfest charts almost 4 month after the album´s release. Passionate club and festivals shows during 2006 in support of the new material as well as affectionate surveillance from the media marked a great year in the history of the band. NARZISS music is basically oldschool Metalcore from the days when the genre was something totally new and mindblowing, and can best be described as a genius mix of melody and brutality, melancholy and apocalypse and emotions and struggle. But the band's most noteable trademark has to be the German lyrics, something very untypical for the metal and hardcore sector. But NARZISS feel it is their duty to write deep lyrics without being too intelectually charged in an artificial way. And the band thinks they can only capture authentically what they wish, think, feel and hope for in their native language.
